Mosquito Monitor The City of Winnipeg conducts adult mosquito surveillance using New Jersey Light Traps from May to September, which is the active mosquito season in Winnipeg. Traps are collected on an irregular basis, but by and large on a daily basis on weekdays during peak periods (June-August). Trap counts are updated on the City of Winnipeg Website by the city. While the website displays data, there is no historical data available, and the map is dated and is difficult to interpret easily.
